🎞 あらすじ：
日本の南西部に位置する四国では、1200年以上もの間、お遍路さんたちが真言密教の開祖である弘法大師の足跡を辿ってきました。88か所の霊場を結ぶこの遍路道は、四国をぐるりと一周しています。始まりも終わりもないこの道を歩く者たちは、弘法大師が傍らに寄り添ってくれるのを感じながら道中を行くのです。
本作は弘法大師の足跡をたどる旅とともに進行します。主観的映像で描いたこの作品を通して、視聴者は監督である私と共に歩み、肉体的にも精神的にも深く刻まれる旅路を追体験するのです。

👤 監督について：
エミリ・ベルト： 脚本家、映像作家
パリのエコール・デュ・ルーブル（ルーブル学院）、そしてソルボンヌ大学で美術史、博物館学、哲学を学んだ後、レバノンのベイルートで映画学を学び、パリ・ディドロ大学でドキュメンタリー映画制作の修士号を取得。
初の長編ドキュメンタリー映画となる『88』は、数々の国際映画祭で賞を受賞しました。

🎞 Synopsis:
On the island of Shikoku in southern Japan, pilgrims have been walking for over 1,200 years in the footsteps of the great Kōbō-Daishi, the founder of esoteric Shingon Buddhism. The path encircles the island and connects 88 temples. With no beginning or end, those who walk it hope to meet the saint, who, according to legend, is still alive.
The film follows this journey. Shot with a subjective camera, it invites viewers to walk alongside me—on an odyssey that is both physical and spiritual.

👤 Who am I?
Emilie Berteau, writer and director.
After studying art history, museology, and philosophy at the École du Louvre and the Sorbonne, I studied film in Beirut. I later earned a Master's degree in documentary filmmaking at Paris Diderot University.
"88" is my first feature-length documentary and has received awards at several international festivals.
